  • How do I make a reservation?
    Contact us by phone or email to book your reservation. Your reservation will be confirmed only once your deposit is recieved. Please note the Gemach operates on a first-come-first-serve basis. We recommend you try on your outfits prior to reserving.
  • When can my kids try on the outfits?
    The Gemach is open for try-ons Sunday evenings, by appointment only.
  • How much does the Gemach charge?
    The Gemach is free of charge. A $20 deposit per outfit is required to secure your reservation. When the outfit is returned complete and undamaged, the deposit is refunded in full. Fees for damages or loss are determined on a case-by-case basis.
  • How long can I keep the outfits?
    Outfits are lent for up to two weeks at a time. Exceptions may be made for those traveling abroad, pending availability.
  • How should I wash the outfits?
    Do not wash bowties or hats. All other items must be washed prior to return. Please follow these steps: Use a gentle stain remover when necessary. Separate dark and light items (shirts from pants, etc.) Wash cold / warm. Hang dry. Do not place items in a dryer. Do not iron. If you notice any loose buttons or tears when washing, you must notify the Gemach.
  • The item I borrowed got misplaced or stained. What now?
    If the item you borrowed got misplaced, please notify us straightaway so we can adjust upcoming reservations immediately. If the item you borrowed got stained, please inform us and show us the stain when you make your return. The fee for damaged or stained items will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Lost items are penalized at cost price.
